PM Community II

Craig Karagitz is a certified Project Management Professional and has over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of industries. He currently works at USDM Life Sciences in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining USDM, Craig worked at Terumo Cardiovascular Group for a little over four years and Critical Management Kinetics for about six years. Before that, Craig spent over ten years in various engineering roles, primarily in the automotive industry.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Oakland University, both in Michigan in the United States. Additionally, he has been involved with the joint instructional partnership between the Huron Valley Chapter and Eastern Michigan University since the first PMP Prep Class offering.

Ed has been a member of PMI-HVC since its founding in 2002 and contributed to the chapter development through several efforts. He served on the Chapter Meeting committee and was elected Vice President of Programs. He was then elected President in 2010.

Ed is currently a Director of Program Management at Truven Healthcare Analytics and has 30+ years experience leading teams in a broad range of information technology areas and enterprise scale software application development programs. 20+ years of this experience is in healthcare. He founded and operated a successful application software development and consulting company, as well as a infrastructure PMO organization at Pfizer in Ann Arbor.

For the last 5 years Alicia has been building software as the Project Team Lead Business Analyst and recently acquired her CAPM and PMI-PBA.  In addition to eliciting, writing, and managing requirements, Alicia helps plan and manage the development process for Budgeting and Planning Software.  She holds a BBA in Business Administration from University of Houston – Downtown.  

Recently, Alicia has started helping setup chapter meetings as well as serving on the Professional Development Day Committee as Speaker Coordinator.  She is excited to become more involved by serving the chapter as Vice-President of Administration.

Grace has over 15 years experience working in controlling and accounting with many of those years working on different projects; ERP (SAP) projects implementation, Government Incurred Cost development rates projects, Government projects, R&D and application engineering projects for an engine manufacturing company and an ink manufacturing company. She has also had been part of an implementation and sustainability of an Internal Control project.

Grace has a Masters Degree in Corporate Finance from Walsh College in Troy Michigan. She has a Bachelors Degree of Business and Administration in Accountancy from Universidad Autonoma de Santa Domingo.

Grace is fluent in English and Spanish. Some of her passions include: Community, finance, and stream line processes and procedures.

Grace currently volunteers in the HVC-PMI chapter. She would like to support others to obtain their PMP and advance in their career goals and aspirations. She looks forward to supporting the HVC-PMI through the VP of Communication role.

Grace’s community work includes: Mission trips to third world countries, PMI training, youth summer camp mentor, Kids on the Rock teacher, Kids on the Rock bus driver, and others.

Irfan Mallick

Irfan has over 18 years of experience in IT with 7 of those years managing projects. He is also an experienced Business and Data Analyst. He has advance knowledge of MS Project 2010 server for portfolio management.

He also bring expertise in:
- Global PMO-project tracking, status/progress reporting for stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management
- Global Data Collection/analysis-using SQL, publishing and presenting reports, consumption Management reports
- Coordinating off shore teams for data collection projects
- Performance Metrics reporting
- Reviewing user requests for system change, enhancement, bug fix, and also for new functionality
- Knowledge of newer processes and methods such as Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO standards that are backed by basic computing and project management knowledge

He has been a liaison between IT and Business Groups to organize and facilitate meetings, prepare project status reports, metrics reports, and present status and metrics reports to managers and directors. He looks forward to supporting the HVC PMI Chapter via the VP of Training role.

Keason is a technology business leader with a history of success building and leading corporate project, consulting and start-up teams to create solutions that impact client growth and new market entry. He has a 25 year track record of achievement in evolving technologies and environments with high levels of uncertainty, and uses innovation, flexibility and a collaborative leadership style to implement solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. He holds a BGS and MBA (strategy) from the University of Michigan, and is currently pursuing a MSCS from Georgia Tech.

Keason has been an active volunteer since joining HVC-PMI, both assisting the current and former VP Finance and as a membership director. He looks forward to supporting the HVC-PMI membership and advancing the profession in the Ann Arbor area.

Kimberly has over 10 years of experience managing and collaborating on projects across several industries including but not limited to the arts, linguistics and information security. She currently works as a project manager for an information security firm specializing in Payment Card Industry compliance services. Throughout her experience, She has volunteered with local companies to streamline and improve business processes and customer service. She has also organized successful promotional and benefit events for educational, local business and religious establishments on significantly limited budgets.

Kimberly has also worked in the translation industry having managed language translation projects for automotive clients, museums, government, company websites as well as various user guides, technical manuals and marketing materials. As a self-taught bilingual French-speaker, she has also organized her own language education project for inner city families to expose adults and their children to foreign language and intercultural communication

Kimberly enjoys finding creative ways to make the most of available resources and she is passionate about her role, considering her expertise in project management both a unique art and science.

ChristineBlair

People, processes, and projects are Christine’s passions. She has more than 10 years of experience managing and coordinating projects from inception to completion. Throughout her career, Christine has worked to establish, organize, and enhance operations for companies in the automotive, gas & oil, technology, and service industries. She holds a BBA in Business Management from Cleary University.

Christine has been an active volunteer since joining HVC-PMI, including the VP of Membership for the past year. She is excited by the opportunity to help increase awareness and encourage professional advancement in the project management field. She looks forward to continue supporting the HVC-PMI membership.

Christine also serves her community through work with the Livingston Area Pet Pantry and 100 Women Who Care in Livingston County.
