Talkin' About My Generation
Greatest Generation, Boomers, Xers, Millennials, and now...what do we call them? iGen? GenNext? Our grandkids? ?
Today's workplace can include an unprecedented five generations, each one with different experiences, strengths, priorities and attitudes. While each of your team members is most definitely an individual, there are some generalities that can be used to predict how people of each generation may prefer to communicate, work, and live.
How do you make sure your project doesn't fall into the generation gap that these differences can create? How can you bridge that gap?
You TALK to each other!
In this interactive experience, we'll investigate the assumptions each of us carries with us regarding other generations, and how that affects us in the workplace. Participants will work together to better understand their own generational tendencies and how to more effectively work and communicate with those of different generations. And through it all, we'll have fun!
Executive, Leadership and Team Coach
Lisa Ingall's passion for coaching and leadership can be traced back to her days at IBM, where she spent over fifteen years leading global software development teams in highly complex projects, almost entirely from her home office. As founder of Couragecopia, she coaches innovative leaders and teams to maximize engagement and productivity while reintroducing human connection to the workplace. When she's not coaching leaders, she can be found playing coed rec ice hockey or sampling the area's culinary delights with her husband, checking out new Michigan craft beers and spirits, and coaching her son's Science Olympiad team.
