The PMI Huron Valley Chapter is excited to bring you our Fall 2022 Professional Development Day (PDD).   “Adaptability, Resilience and Disruption”    

Don’t miss this opportunity to join our three speakers and discuss how they navigate uncertainty in the workplace and discover their approach to uncertain times. Our Featured Speakers include: 

 

Lindsay Peters, PMP 

Lindsay is Global Development Director for MovePlan. She is responsible for the global development of programs, employee training, and MovePlan’s Toolkit® of services. She directly consults with clients on complex move and change management strategies. Over the past 16 years, Lindsay has successfully delivered a wide variety of workplace, change management and relocation projects across North America. 

 

Dr. Harri Emari, PMP 

Dr. Emari is a Construction Project Management Professional with a Doctorate in Business Administration for Strategic Management focused on Construction Quality Management.  He is a Civil & Environmental Engineer with a Master's degree in Construction Project Management and Ph.D. studies in Facility Management and a Certified Data Scientist from Stanford.  

 

Dale Hawkins, PMP 

Dale is Cloud Program Manager and Strategic Cloud Advisor in Google Professional Services, whose mission is to implement Google Cloud services to Federal Civilian customers to bring secure business transformation.   

Dale has held several roles at Google; Customer Experience, Partner, and Federal Civilian Cloud Program Manager, and Strategic Cloud Advisor.

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary, the PMI Huron Valley has gifted back a portion of the cost of this opportunity. We hope you will join us in learning together. The speakers are dynamic, insightful and will provide their perspectives into issues and challenges that you and others may be experiencing. You will hear different viewpoints, earn PDUs, and have the opportunity to hear from and interact with our speakers. In addition, this event will include interactive chat sessions, opportunity for Q&A, and a chance to win fun prizes! 

 

Meet the Speakers

Dr. Harri Emari, PMP

Dr. Harri Emari, PMP is a thought leader with a Doctorate of Business Administration Degree (DBA) in Strategic Management who uses his PMI’s Discipline Agile Scrum Master (DASM) and Stanford University’s Data Science Proficiency Certifications to advocate Digital Transformation for Construction 4.0 through his Quality Project Management Office (QPMO) Methodology.

Since 1999, Harri has experience working as a Construction Project Management Professional with his Civil & Environmental Engineering Bachelor’s Degree, Construction Management Master’s Degree, and Ph.D. level graduate studies in Facility Management from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  He successfully managed various subject matter expertise in key roles of a project lifecycle for over 35 large-scale projects from Business Development to design inception, through construction and implementation, to the transition of final products and services with excellent quality ready for operation and facility management.

Currently, Harri works at SLAC National Laboratory with Stanford University to assure contractor quality performance for the Department of Energy contracts by applying his expertise in Menlo Park, California.  He is also certified by US Army Corps for Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) and AGC as a Certified Manager for BIM (CM-BIM).  Dr. Emari is a part-time faculty and professor with WSU and an Authorized Training Partner with PMI for DASM & PMP.  His passion is to give back to the Project Management community as a volunteer and coach in the use of PMBoK, TQM, ISO, Lean Construction, Six-Sigma, LEED, CII, and CMAA best practices, frameworks, and methodologies.

Lindsay Peters, PMP

Lindsay is Global Development Director for MovePlan. In her current role, she is responsible for the global development of internal programs, employee training, and MovePlan’s Toolkit® of services. She also directly consults with clients on complex move and change management strategies. Over the past 16 years, Lindsay has successfully delivered a wide variety of workplace, change management and relocation projects across North America over a wide diversity of industries with emphasis on education, finance, and medical research/pharmaceutical.

Lindsay has also been actively involved in PMI, attaining her PMP certification in 2012, attending meetings and volunteering for the Huron Valley Chapter, and was VP of Communications in 2019-2020. She is currently leading the IFMA Workplace Evolutionaries Detroit Hub. Lindsay has presented in a variety of classrooms, workshops and sessions over the years and enjoys engaging, listening to, and learning from others. As a native Michigander, Lindsay loves the outdoors and tries to get outside every day. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage son.

Dale Hawkins, Cloud Program Manager, Professional Services, Google

Dale Hawkins is Cloud Program Manager and Strategic Cloud Advisor in Google Professional Services, where his current mission is to implement a wide set of Google Cloud services to Federal Civilian customers to bring secure business transformation.  

Dale has held several roles at Google; Customer Experience, Partner, and Federal Civilian Cloud Program Manager, and Strategic Cloud Advisor.   His work at Google includes the $2.1B New York Excluded Worker Program, earning New York a National Award for Technological Advancements achieved during the project.  Dale continues to bring modern Cloud Technologies to large Government and Civilian agencies.  Dale’s special interest is in Document and Call Center Artificial Intelligence Programs.    

Dale previously worked for over 30 years in Information Technology roles ranging from Programmer, Consultant, and Program Manager.  Through efforts with Dewpoint, HP, Jackson National, and Global Crossing, Dale worked in the Telecommunications, Financial Services, and Manufacturing industries helping customers solve a diverse set of solutions.  Notable accomplishments as an IT consultant include leading Michigan’s medical and recreational Marijuana technical programs, The Healthy Michigan Plan– Michigan’s Affordable Care Act implementation, and key contributions to MI Bridges through the state of Michigan’s PMO. 

Dale holds an Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering Technology and Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University.  He also has a Masters in Business Administration from Oakland University.   Dale holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, Google Cloud Digital Leader, Google Professional Services Consultant, SAFE Product Owner, SAFE Scrum Master, and Google Machine Learning Product Manager.  Dale grew up in Michigan and now resides in Austin, Texas.   He is passionate about sports and enjoys coaching baseball and softball and is an avid golfer.
