Outreach
Outreach Program
The objective of the PMI Huron Valley Chapter’s Outreach Program is to increase awareness of the Chapter and the profession of project management. We will collaborate and work with a variety of organizations in mutually beneficial ways.
Corporate Outreach
Our goal is to promote the project management profession to local business leaders, regardless of whether they employ our members. Our Corporate Outreach program will include a Chapter Liaison Program, Corporate Presentations, and Corporate Roundtables. If you would like more information, please contact president@pmi-hvc.org.
Academic Outreach
Our Academic Outreach objectives:
- Promote PMI objectives, standards, and resources available to colleges and universities
- Recruit college and university students/alumni/faculty as members
- Work with colleges on promotion of project management as a career
- Seek further validation of project management as a career through the accreditation of programs in local colleges
If you would like more information, please contact president@pmi-hvc.org.
Community/Social Good Outreach
We work with local nonprofit organizations in a variety of ways. We will occasionally hold fundraisers and provide volunteer labor. We will also provide volunteer project management expertise. Our goal in any of these efforts is to give back selflessly to the Ann Arbor area community. If you would like more information, please contact president@pmi-hvc.org.
Professional Outreach
We work with other professional organizations to present events we both can benefit from, and to inform each other’s members as to the professional development opportunities. If you are an officer in a professional organization, and would like more information, please contact president@pmi-hvc.org.
We also work to build relationships with nearby PMI Chapters, including marketing other chapter events, co-presenting events, and sharing mutually beneficial information. If you are an officer of a PMI Chapter that would like to post your event on our website, and are willing to do so reciprocally, please email president@pmi-hvc.org.
