President's Message Winter 2019

Happy New Year! Wishing you and yours a healthy, successful 2019!

To kick off 2019, our first chapter meeting on January 17 will be a panel discussion. Make sure you attend this interesting dinner meeting where area leaders in PMO Strategy Program and Project Management will share their views and answer your questions. Registrations accepted on our website until Noon January 17.

You’ll also want to join us for the February 18 chapter meeting from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you have connectivity for an interactive webinar titled “Future Proof Your Career With the New Hard Skills of Leadership” with Colette Pellissier.

What’s planned for the March 21 meeting you ask? “Stand and Deliver: Learn How to Deliver a Persuasive Presentation” with Stacie Barrett, Director of Internal Communications at Domino’s.

Visit our website to learn more and to register. Chapter meeting info for April, May, and June will post very soon. I look forward to seeing you at a chapter meeting.

PMI-HVC’s new VP of Training, Bob Sloma, and new Director of Training, BobLuke Wejinya are in the process of planning, designing, and revamping the chapter’s training development program. Stay tuned for an announcement on the variety of offerings (classroom and online) planned for our members and the greater Ann Arbor project management community.

More positive changes are coming! The PMI-HVC board is working to implement many of the 2018-2019 objectives (shared this past November) designed to increase member value, enable corporate, academia, community/social good outreach, and structure a framework for volunteer management.

We are also looking for Chapter volunteers, colleagues, and partners to help us develop and implement programs and activities that support improvement and value of our profession. If you would like to become involved, please contact me, or any of the board members.

Don’t forget to like and follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook!

Best,

Christine Blair
