Demystifying MS Project
Learn how to make Project work for you!
Knowing what you want to control is one of the big questions you need to know before you start. Various scenarios will be shown to help the audience understand the differences with task types of Fixed Units, Fixed Duration and Fixed Work. Also, what to do about Split Tasks, how to find and fix, and working with custom fields.
Jim Donovan is currently the MS Project SME at Dewpoint, an IT Service Delivery company located in Lansing Michigan. He has been creating and maintaining schedules for 35 years in a variety of fields, including Conveyor Design, Manufacturing and Installation; Commercial HVAC; Automotive New Part Delivery for GM Vehicle Programs and Various IT Projects. He utilized Dynamic Critical Path scheduling techniques using MS Project and Primavera P3. Jim is also very involved with the PMI Michigan Thumb Chapter. He has been a PMP since 2004.
