The first 15 minutes will be focused on chapter information / upcoming events, followed by our learning topic:

Empowering Your PMO with Cutting-Edge Technology; A Schedule Management Focus

The session will provide an overview of how advanced technologies can enhance your Project Management Office's processes and decision-making capabilities with a focus on Schedule Management. We will explore Traditional Project Management and dive into the fundamentals of Project Controls. We will also spend time demystifying AI or Artificial Intelligence and how it can be leveraged to increase the chance of delivering your projects on time, within budget while meeting expectations. Attendees should be prepared to actively engage during the ‘hands-on’, learning exercise.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Gain insights into Traditional Project Management and the fundamentals of Project Controls.
  2. Demystify AI (Artificial Intelligence).
  3. Discover how leveraging Generative AI can be leveraged to improve the process and decision making related to Schedule Management.

 

About Our Speakers: Rich Weller and Pradip Naik

Rich Weller has been a member of the PMI-HVC Chapter since 2003 and has delivered many presentations and training courses for the chapter over the years. He is a Project, Program and Portfolio Management Solution Specialist with roughly 30 years’ experience in planning and delivering successful project, program and portfolio management initiatives. He has been a college instructor over 20 years, teaching multiple courses in Business as well as Project Management. He is also a frequent speaker at PMI, MPUG and Scaled Agile, as well as other industry events.

Rich's current passion is AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Project Management. He has completed all 5 of PMI’s current courses related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and has also acquired the two Micro-Credentials from PMI on Citizen Developer. (these are all very relevant to this Workshop) Rich has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and holds many certifications ranging from Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master (SSM), Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) and is a PMI Authorized Training Instructor. He also holds the APMG Change Management Practitioner certification as well as the APMG Project Planning & Controls Practitioner. (This Project Controls certification is also relevant to this Workshop)

Pradip Naik is the VP of Programs of our PMI-Huron Valley Chapter’s and a results-oriented Digital PMO Leader with over 24 years of expertise in driving digital transformation, enterprise portfolio management, and organizational change initiatives. Renowned for his ability to align IT strategies with business goals, Pradip specializes in delivering sustainable growth through data-driven decision-making, Agile transformations, and Lean Portfolio Management, managing IT portfolios exceeding $500M annually.

Pradip’s passion is to leverage technology for the betterment of the project management world!

An accomplished presenter, Pradip shares his rich experience across diverse industries to inspire and educate industry professionals. With academic credentials including an MBA in Project Management, certifications such as PMP, Citizen Developer Business Architect, and SAFe Scrum Master, and advanced certifications in Data Strategy (UC Berkeley) and Digital Transformation Leadership (MIT xPro), Pradip combines strategic acumen with technical expertise to deliver impactful and insightful presentations.

Apart from project management, Pradip is an artist who loves to sing, performed in multiple stage shows, played various roles in theater, and enjoys painting. He has served as a Vice President and Logistics Lead for a non-profit community organization. Additionally, he has served as a Secretary and Board of Directors for HOA (Home Owners Association) and enjoyed contributing to the community and society!
