Overview:

A Project Management career wasn’t always a career.  It once was just a hobby that technical people did in their spare time.  How did we get from hobby to career? & what’s next?  PMI’s four pillars of project management are trust, respect, accountability and change management.  These PMI pillars reflect the evolution of project management.  Lee Lambert will colorfully illustrate  the journey PM has taken since 1969.  He will also share with you what PM looks like in 2035.

This presentation with share the experiences of someone who has been there through it all.  More than 48 years of involvement in PMI has exposed the good, the bad and the ugly. The fact that PMI has grown from one single Chapter in the United States (Houston) to more than 309 chapters worldwide is a testament to the success of this career transition.  Why has this happened?  What phases has the profession gone through?
