Leading When the Path Isn’t Clear: Helping Teams Move Forward When Progress Feels Stuck | Presented By Lisa DiTullio: Speaker, facilitator, author, and leadership advisor
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize where hesitation and friction are quietly slowing progress.
- Distinguish productive movement from simply working faster or staying busy.
- Identify the point of friction that, if addressed, could create the greatest improvement in flow.
- Apply two practical leadership shifts: 1) clarify decisions earlier and learn sooner 2) help teams move forward.
Further Detail About our Speaker:

Her work spans healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, and the public sector, where she has worked with emerging leaders, experienced managers, project professionals, and senior executives. Lisa is the author of three books and is known for translating complex leadership challenges into practical approaches people can immediately apply.
Topic Details:
When teams get stuck, the problem is not always a lack of effort, expertise, or commitment. Often, progress slows because the decision isn't clear, important perspectives haven't surfaced, tradeoffs remain unresolved, or people are waiting for certainty that may never arrive.
This session takes a different approach to getting work moving again. Rather than introducing another process or encouraging teams to simply move faster, it focuses on the leadership practices that help people think clearly, listen for what matters, judge wisely, and move courageously when the way forward is uncertain. Participants explore how to identify what is actually blocking progress, improve the quality of the conversation and decision, and create responsible movement without requiring perfect information or complete agreement.
What makes it different: The focus is not on managing tasks or driving greater activity. It is on recognizing why progress is stuck and applying the right leadership response to help people move forward.
